Pangaio (Greek: ) is a municipality in the Kavala Prefecture, Greece, named after the Pangaion hills. Population 4764 (2001). The seat of the municipality is in Nikisiani.

Nikisiani

Nikisiani is on the NE part of the Pangaio Hills at 350 m. The high quality marble from the region is known from antiquity. The population are mainly farmers. In and around Nikisiani are some 20 churches such as Eisodia tis Theotokou, and 4 monasteries: Panagia Eikosifinissa, Agios Dimitrios, Agios Ioannis and Axios Esti.
