Kekropia

Kekropia (Greek: ) is a municipality in Aetolia-Acarnania, Greece. Population 4494 (2001). The seat of the municipality is in Palairos.

Palairos

Palairos is a village 134 km NW of Messolonghi. Near Palairos are the small islands Madouri, Meganisi and Skorpio. Around Palairos are remains of a castle called Kechropoula and an ancient city which probably existed since the mycenaean period.
