South Aegean is one of the thirteen peripheries of Greece. It consists of the Cyclades and Dodecanese islands in the South Aegean. The capital of the periphery is situated in Ermoupoli, Syros island while a suboffice is operating in Rhodes, the economical, social and tourism centre of the periphery.
