Lixouri

Ληξούρι

Lixouri (Greek: Modern: Ληξούρι) is a town on the Greek island of Kefalonia, around 31 km from Argostoli.

The population is around 3940 It is mentioned in a letter from the Senate of Venice. Severe destrcutions of the town by the earthquakes of 23.1.1867 and August 1953. Close to Lixouri is the ancient city Pali.
